An EPL is an Exclusive Prospecting Licence, issued in Namibia by the Ministry of Mines and Energy. It gives the holder the exclusive right to prospect for specified minerals in a defined area for a set period. EPLs are often the earliest stage at which a project can attract investment, before a mining licence is granted.

Two kinds of members. Holders of mineral rights — individuals or companies holding EPLs, mining claims or mining licences in Namibia and Southern Africa — can list their projects. Investors, from private individuals to funds, can join to browse verified projects and request introductions. You can also join as both.

When you list a project, we check the licence details you provide against the Ministry of Mines and Energy cadastre: holder name, licence number, commodity, area and validity dates. Projects that pass are marked as verified. Verification confirms that the listing matches public records; it is not legal advice or a title guarantee.

If you close an investment, sale or joint venture with a party you were introduced to through OreBridge within 24 months of the introduction, you pay a success fee as a percentage of the deal value. If no deal closes, nothing is owed. The exact rate is shown when you sign up and in the terms of membership.

No. Transfers of mineral licences require the Minister’s consent, and we are not a transfer agent. What we do is introduce holders to investors so the parties can negotiate a deal and run the required consent process with their own legal advisers.

Yes. Holder contact details are never published on listings. Investors only see your project details; if they want to go further, they request an introduction and you decide whether to accept it before any contact details are shared.

Yes. The projects page is open to browse, so you can see how listings are presented — commodity, location, stage and deal type — before you create an account. Full project details are reserved for members.

An investor saves a project and requests an introduction. We notify the holder, and if the holder accepts, we connect the two parties directly by email. From there the parties negotiate on their own terms, with OreBridge staying available to help until close.
